JERSEY CITY - How do you heal the emotional wounds of a heart-breaking playoff defeat? For St. Peter’s Prep head coach Anthony Verdi, he hopes the answer lies with a quick return to the mats after his Marauders fell to Bergen Catholic 33-27 in the Non-Public, North A semifinals last night.
“We’re going to try to get them back on the mat right away and not have them sit around until next Friday,” Verdi said. “Make sure they get back on the mat, clear their heads and put this behind them so we can go into the individual part of the season next week.” Read More

BAYONNE - Yesterday Bayonne, Hudson Catholic and North Bergen High Schools competed in a tri event at Bayonne High School. The Bruins won both of their matches in the round-robin event. The Bees went 1-1, defeating Hudson Catholic in their match.
