Jonathan Munoz delivered a crucial sack on 4th and goal from the 3-yard line in what would be one of many big plays the Tigers’ defense would deliver in a 20-6 victory over the Royal Knights last night at Coviello Field. Read More

With 20 returning starters, Otis Best and the Royal Knights have high expectations.

By Jason Bernstein

BAYONNE – After two forgettable seasons, the Royal Knights are ready to grow up. After being one of the youngest teams in Hudson County, Marist loses just one senior off of last year’s roster. As a result, head coach Larry Arico brings a veteran squad that in his eyes is the deepest he’s had since taking over in 2005.

“It will be the first time where we’ve actually brought back a veteran group, a group that’s been through the program,” Arico said. “We’ve worked through the past two years and now it’s starting to pay off. Hopefully it will translate in wins and losses.” Read More
