JERSEY CITY – With a deep lineup loaded with sluggers and speedsters throughout, scoring runs in bunches is nothing new for High Tech. And in the fifth inning, the powerful Lasercats’ offense proved downright unstoppable.
Trailing the entire game, eighth-seeded High Tech erupted for nine runs with two outs in that inning and never looked back in a 20-8 victory over Secaucus in the title game of the Hudson County Softball Tournament yesterday at the Thomas A. Gerrity Athletic Complex.

HOBOKEN – JFK Stadium may not be the home field for High Tech’s Natalie Classen, but with the success she’s had there, it’d be hard to find a place which fits her game as well.
After hitting two homers there in a game there earlier in the season, the sophomore added three more three hits yesterday including an inside-the-park homer as the Lasercats downed top-seeded Hoboken 10-4 in the quarterfinals of the Hudson County Tournament.

NORTH BERGEN – Bruins pitcher Carla Arismendi has plenty of pitches at her disposal when she’s steps into the circle. For most of yesterday’s showdown against High Tech she only needed one – her fastball.

JERSEY CITY – For the past two seasons the bulls-eye has been placed squarely on the back of St. Peter's Prep. After a landmark victory over legendary Oak Hill Academy that target has continued to grow even larger.
Less than 72 hours after that signature win, the Marauders found themselves with another challenge, this time from a motivated High Tech team. SECAUCUS – After winning their first three games with little resistance, High Tech faced their first serious test of the young season yesterday. The Lasercats emerged from the challenge and some early adversity with a 4-1 victory over McNair at Laurel Park.
After winning their first three games by a 21-0 margin, High Tech (4-0) found themselves in trouble late in the first half. The Cougars (4-2) tied the score on a Matt Velazquez penalty kick and momentum seemed to be on their side. Read More
