BAYONNE - For the Dickinson boys cross country team the secret is out. In recent years the Rams have experienced great success within Hudson County with little fanfare.

Before yesterday, no runner from Hudson County had taken home gold at the Meet of Champions for as long as anyone can remember. Najee Glass of St. Peter’s Prep and Zamir Thomas of Snyder put an end to the draught as they both won in yesterday’s historic performance at Frank Jost Field in South Plainfield.

SECAUCUS - The HCTCA Championships kicked off yesterday with the field events with the Dickinson boys and Bayonne girls taking early control at the top of the leader boards.
The Rams had a stranglehold on the jumping events, taking first place in both the high and long jumps. Junior Jose Veras took the high jump crown with a leap of 6’6” and Terrol Ishmail’s jump of 19’3.5” was tops in the long jump. SECAUCUS - Yesterday's second stage of the Patriot Invitational was certainly a memorable one for the Dickinson boys track team. The Rams took home three first place finishes in the seven events for the boys. BAYONNE – Throughout the season, Marist has relied on point guard Justin Rosa to be the distributor that makes their offense go. When the third-seeded Royal Knights needed the junior to step up as a scorer, he showed he can do that as well.
Rosa delivered a career-high 28 points in a dominant performance to lead Marist to a 70-57 victory over Dickinson last night in the quarterfinals of the Hudson County Tournament.

HARRISON – Kearny has accomplished a lot during their first season in an all-Hudson County league, winning 13 games and earning the top spot in the Hudson County Tournament. But one thing the Kardinals had yet to do was figure out how to stop Dickinson’s high-powered offense.
