Trailing 6-3 after four innings, the Cougars stormed back with two runs in the fifth and three in the sixth to win yesterday in Garfield.
Georgina Rayo drove in four runs for McNair (4-1) as she went 3-for-4 at the plate. Grace Hill also had three hits, including a solo homerun. Sara Beckner scored three runs with Micah Baluyot and Haley Bissell added two runs apiece.
Natalia Estremera allowed just one earned run to pick up the win. The senior gave up three hits and a walk and struck out nine.
