Natalia Estremera had a homerun and five RBI as the Cougars rolled to a season-opening win on Monday at Enos Jones Field in Jersey City.

Estremera, a senior shortstop, was 3-for-3 with two runs scored on the day for McNair (1-0). Georgina Rayo also had three hits as the Cougars used an eight-run third inning to bust the game wide open. Batia Krinsky had two hits and scored twice. Krinsky was one of seven different Cougars to score two runs in the victory.

Sarah Kreutz picked up the win in the circle. The sophomore struck out 13 batters while allowing one hit and six walks.
