2. St. Peter’s Prep Marauders (23-6)
Last Week: 2
The Marauders won a fourth-straight county championship and reached the Non-Public, North A finals this season. Kevin Walker graduates as the school’s all-time assist leader.
3. Marist Royal Knights (18-7)
Last Week: 3
HCIAL Player of the Year Marvin Williams and big man Jarryd Horsley helped lead an all-senior starting lineup to 18 wins and the finals of the Hudson County Tournament.
4. Hudson Catholic Hawks (22-6)
Last Week: 4
The Hawks look poised to emerge as a state power next season as they return all five starters from this year’s 22-win and HCIAL regular season championship team.
5. Memorial Tigers (19-6)
Last Week: 5
Seniors David Almonte and Alex Carpio helped lead the Tigers’ impressive turnaround from eight wins a season ago to 19 wins this year.
6. St. Mary’s Ramblers (18-9)
Last Week: 6
In their final season of existence, the Ramblers won 18 games this season, highlighted by a December win over St. Peter’s Prep and a state playoff victory over Morristown-Beard.
7. Hoboken Red Wings (16-12)
Last Week: 7
The Red Wings came on in a big way late, winning nine of their last 11 games. Leading scorers Abe Groomes and Luis Santiago return for a dangerous Hoboken offense.
8. Union City Soaring Eagles (15-13)
Last Week: 8
The Soaring Eagles upset Hackensack in the first round of the North 1, Group IV tournament. Khalied Saleh had double-doubles in both playoff games for Union City.
9. Dickinson Rams (15-13)
Last Week: 9
Freshman forward Duane James had double-doubles in both state playoff games and will look to lead the Rams in the 2011/12 season.
10. North Bergen Bruins (8-14)
Last Week: NR
A rough season for the Bruins ended on a high note with wins over Bayonne and Dickinson. Sophomore Alex Gil looks poised for a breakout season.
