JERSEY CITY - When Union City’s Gabriela Sarrate made it to the Hudson County First Singles title match a year ago, it would be a pivotal moment in her career. Sarrate may not have left with a title, but rather a blueprint to what needed to be done.
These adjustments would pay off as a physically and mentally stronger Sarrate captured the championship which eluded her a year ago with a dominant 6-0, 6-1 victory over Kearny’s Angie Garma during Monday’s Hudson County Individuals Championships at Lincoln Park. Read More

Union City's Gabriela Sarrate is the top seed in the First Singles brack of the HCT.
The opening rounds of the Hudson County Tennis Singles and Doubles Championships, originally scheduled for yesterday at Lincoln Park were postponed due inclimate weather. They will be made up on Thursday at 4 p.m.at Lincoln Park.

JERSEY CITY - The Jersey City Public School Championship came down to one match, but if the pressure got to McNair's Yumi Hinnenkamp, you wouldn't have known it. The junior cruised to a convincing 8-1 victory over Ferris' Iesha Crandon to lock up the title for 1st singles as well as the team championship for the Cougars.
