Roundup: Patriots, Blue Tide win in blowouts

Secaucus 44, Weehawken 12

The Patriots opened up an 18-2 first quarter lead and never looked back last night in Secaucus.

Freshmen Andie Lennon and Julia McClure led the way for Secaucus (12-3) with 11 points apiece. McClure, a forward added eight rebounds and four steals, and Lennon also had six assists in the victory. Alyssa Lyngholm scored eight points and Danielle Roesing recorded seven steals. As a team, the Patriots forced 21 steals and six different players hit a 3-pointer.

The visiting Indians fall to 1-13 on the season.

Harrison 49, Saddle Brook 18

Rayven Lucas led all scorers with 16 points as the Blue Tide rolled to their 11th win of the season last night in Harrison.

Lucas, a junior, also had five rebounds, four assists and four steals for Harrison (11-4) in the victory. Briana O'Donnell just missed out on a double-double as she finished with 10 points and eight rebounds. Twelve different players scored for the Blue Tide as they built a 17-point halftime lead and never looked back.

Melissa Chalarca paced the Falcons (2-12) with seven points.
