Roundup: Pats, Blue Tide continue winning ways

Secaucus 60, Becton 42

The Patriots shot a staggering 10 3-pointers as they rolled past Becton last night in Secaucus.

Junior Lauren Guillen led the shooting attack with four 3-pointers as she finished with a career-high 14 points for Secaucus (6-1). Guillen also had five rebounds and four steals. Danielle Roesing, Bryonna McClure and Julia McClure each hit two 3-pointers apiece. Julia McClure had 14 points to go with nine rebounds and seven assists, while Roesing and Bryonna McClure finished with eight and six points respectively.

Freshman Andie Lennon led all scorers with 16 points as the Patriots opened up a 27-point lead after three quarters.

Zaneta Balbuza paced the Wildcats (1-4) with 15 points in defeat. Megan Majowicz added 14 points.

Rayven Lucas had nine points as the Blue Tide won their fourth-straight last night in Harrison.

Briana O'Donnell had six points and 13 rebounds for Harrison (5-2). Senior Bianca Martinez added seven points, 12 rebounds and four steals. Sarai Rivera chipped in with five points and four steals as Harrison held its opponent under 35 points for the fourth-straight game.

Emmalee Lucas scored six points as the Blue Tide built up a 14-point lead through the first three quarters.
