Blake win MVP honors

Over the past two seasons, Antoinette Blake has made a habit of racking up double-doubles and wreaking havoc in the paint. In yesterday’s NJSCA North-South All-Star Classic in Toms River, Blake showed the rest of the state what Hudson County has known for a while.
Blake had 16 points and 12 rebounds to earn MVP honors as her North squad earned an 87-78 victory.
Six of Blake’s points came in a 30-8 second half surge by the North as it overcame a 40-36 halftime deficit.
The Marist standout was one of three from Hudson County to participate in the game. Kearny’s Janitza Aquino had four points in the win. Secaucus’ Andrea Innis also played, but was held scoreless.
