Ferris standout RB/LB Bryant Worts recently announced that he will continue his football career next season at Southeast Missouri State according to Ferris head coach Wilbur Valdez.

Worts was a three-year starter at linebacker for the Bulldogs and was one of the County’s premier players at the position. Described as “a run stopper who can run from sideline to sideline,” by Valdez before the season, Worts had another big season for Ferris. Despite missing time due to injury, he racked up 106 tackles and eight sacks at middle linebacker this season to earn a spot on Hudson County Varsity’s All-County Team.

On offense Worts rushed for 1,036 yards and 16 touchdowns for a Bulldog squad which went 4-6.

Worts will play with a pair of former teammates Southeast Missouri State. Current Redhawks WR Chantae Ahamefule and DB Branden Spann are alums of Ferris. Former Snyder DT Maurice Lyles also plays for Southeast Missouri State.
