Roundup: Prep sweeps Memorial

Senior Kenny Walter had 10 kills and five blocks as the Marauders cruised to a 25-14, 25-20 victory over Memorial yesterday in West New York.
Lorenzo Samin had nine kills, eight digs and five aces for St. Peter’s Prep (14-1), ranked third in the state.
Michael Acosta had six digs, three blocks and three kills to lead the way for the Tigers (2-10). Jonathon Carpio had four kills and Daniel Guzman added four blocks. Martin Rodriguez and Inolis Santana added nine and four assists respectively. Asal Salah had six digs and Jose Genis added three digs in defeat.

Junior Michael Acosta had nine kills and eight blocks as Memorial swept North Bergen 27-25, 25-18 Thursday in West New York.
Jose Genis and Elicio Olivares added nine and eight digs respectively for the Tigers (2-9). Olivares, a ----, tacked on four kills and three blocks in the victory. Jonathan Carpio had seven kills and Asal Salah anchored the defense with a staggering 25 digs.
Ralph Acosta had four blocks, three digs and three kills. Martin Rodriguez had 17 assists and Inolis Santana added 10 assists in the victory.
Javier Paulino paced the Bruins (8-9) in defeat. Christian Sanchez and William Sanchez added seven blocks apiece. Christian Bravo chipped in with five digs.
