Roundup: Bruins down West Orange
Amuar Manzamarez broke a 1-all tie in the 73rd minute as the Bruins downed West Essex at Bruins Stadium on Saturday in a tune up before the state tournament.
Trailing 1-0 early in the second half, Willie Cardenas tied the game in the 50th when he scored off a cross from Leo Solis across the front of the net.
Jesus Solis made five saves for North Bergen. The Bruins open up the North 1, Group IV playoffs when they play Barringer on Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Newark. North Bergen is the No. 9 seed in North 1, Group IV, while Barringer is seeded eighth.
