Junior Reggie Cameron had a double-double as the Hawks used a 29-10 fourth quarter to pull away and win their NJSIAA Non-Public, North B quarterfinals showdown last night in Jersey City.
Cameron led all scorers with 22 points and he also pulled down 11 rebounds for third-seeded Hudson Catholic (24-2). Forward Mike Young had another double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Rakwan Kelly scored 12 points and Grant Ellis chipped in with seven points and seven rebounds. Point guard Kavon Stewart dished out 12 assists to go with six points and six rebounds.
Max Herrmann led the sixth-seeded Cougars (20-7) with 15 points. Matt Lane added 10 points in defeat.
With the win, Hudson Catholic advances to Saturday's semifinals when it will travel to Morristown to square off with No. 2 seed Morristown-Beard.
