Hudson Catholic 86, Secaucus 26
Junior forwards Reggie Cameron and Mike Young each had double-doubles as the top-seed Hawks breezed into the quarterfinals of the Hudson County Tournament last night in Jersey City.
Cameron hit four 3-points to lead all scorers with 22 points to go with 11 rebounds and six assists for Hudson Catholic (20-2). Young had 14 points, 16 rebounds and six assists as the Hawks built up a quick 23-2 lead in the opening quarter of play. Seniors Grant Ellis and Marc Wilson added 14 points apiece on Hudson Catholic's Senior Night. Junior guard Travis Flagg chipped in with 10 assists as the Hawks advance to host No. 8 seed Memorial in the quarterfinals tomorrow night.
Pema Lama scored 10 points to lead the 16th-seeded Patriots (10-13) in defeat. Joe Curran added eight points.
