Hudson Catholic 58, Lincoln 50
Pressed into action with the absence of standout Rakwan Kelly, freshman Nassir Barrino responded with 12 points and earned Team MVP honors as the Hawks defeated nationally-ranked Lincoln of New York on Saturday at the Prudential Center in Newark.
Barrino hit a 3-pointer and added four rebounds for Hudson Catholic (14-2). REggie Cameron led all scorers with 16 points to go with seven rebounds. Junior Mike Young had a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Kyle McLeggan chipped in with eight points and seven rebounds.
Isaiah Whitehead scored 15 points to lead the Railsplitters (16-4), ranked No. 47 in the ESPN Rise Top 50. Tafari Whittingham and Travis Charles added 12 and 10 points respectively for the Brooklyn school.
