Bayonne 72, North Bergen 66
Senior guard Dayron Caldwell scored a season-high 22 points and converted on four 3-pointers as the Bees built up an 18-point lead after three quarters before holding on to win last night in North Bergen.
Seniors Steve Betancurth and Rodney Wilson each had double-doubles for Bayonne (10-4). Wilson had 16 points and 13 rebounds while Betancurth added 12 points and 10 rebounds. Garry Gaston chipped in with nine points, six rebounds and four assists as the Bees used a 28-14 third quarter to break the game open.
Alex Gil hit four 3-pointers to pace the Bruins (6-7) with 22 points. Robert DeLeon drained a trio of 3-pointers to finish with 19 points. Eddie Garcia added 11 points as North Bergen scored 30 points in the fourth quarter.

Four different players scored in double figures as the Hawks emerged victorious in a Coaches vs. Cancer matchup last night in Jersey City.
Reggie Cameron led the balanced Hudson Catholic (13-2) attack with 16 points and nine rebounds. Iona-bound senior Grant Ellis scored 13 points while Mike Young and Travis Flagg added 10 points apiece. Young also had eight rebounds as the Hawks, ranked eighth in the state, used a 13-2 second quarter to break the game open.
Manny Suarez had a triple-double for the Royal Knights (8-6) as the 6-foot-10 junior finished with 15 points, 12 rebounds and 10 blocks. Anthony White added seven points.
