Rodney Wilson had a double-double as the Bees earned a convincing victory yesterday in the New Jersey vs. New York High School challenge at Dwight Morrow High School in Englewood.
Wilson, a senior wing, had 16 points and 12 rebounds for Bayonne (9-4). Fellow senior Steve Betancurth hit a trio of 3-pointers en route to a 12-point, nine-rebound performance. Richard Hoffman and Biaggio Cancro added 11 and 10 points respectively as eight different Bees scored. Jonathan Jackson chipped in with nine rebounds and six blocks as Bayonne led 16-6 in the opening quarter and never looked back.
