Roundup: Big third propels Bees

The trio of Elvonney Poole, Damian Williams and Rodney Wilson proved too tough to handle as the Bees used a 31-point third quarter to propel them to a win in West New York last night.

Poole had 19 points and 12 rebounds for Bayonne (16-7). Williams scored 18 points and Wilson, a sophomore, added 17 points as the Bees opened up a 29-point lead after the third quarter.

David Almonte hit four 3-pointers to lead the Tigers with 19 points. Jonathan Munoz scored 17 points and Alex Carpio added 15 in defeat.

Harrison 73, Wallington 66

The one-two combo of Rahim Douelfakar and Walter Sessoms combined for 50 points for the Blue Tide in a come-from-behind victory last night in Wallington.

Sessoms scored a game-high 28 points, including a pair of 3-pointers for a Harrison (13-9) squad which overcame a four-point deficit at the half. Douelfakar had 22 points as the Blue Tide scored 29 points in the fourth quarter.

Peter Polan led the Panthers (5-16) with 22 points. Tyler Soto scored 20 points and Brandon Santana had 17 points in defeat.
