The seedings for the Ed Ford Memorial Baseball Tournament were announced yesterday with Bayonne earning the top seed.
Thanks to a deep lineup led by Frank DiPillo, Justin Guthrie and Jared Ensmenger along with the pitching of Dave Jakubowski, the Bees have rolled to a 15-4 record on the season. Bayonne won the first true Hudson County Tournament in 2010.
St. Peter's Prep is the second seed behind the one-two pitching combo of Ryan O'Connor and Mike Doran and a dangerous lineup headlined by catcher Jason Uliano and Anthony Rinaldi. North Bergen is seeded third, followed by Marist.
Hoboken, the defending champions, are seeded fifth and led by ace hurler Kenny Roder, who has thrown four consecutive shutouts.
